Global Roots Louisville (from Somali Center of Louisville)

In 2025, with funding from the University of Michigan, UJDP partnered with the Somali Center of Louisville to hold what we hope will be the first of many climate change cultural exchanges. The goal of this program is to facilitate cross-cultural learning on the impacts of climate change. Since poetry is very important to Somali culture, they featured several poems about climate change and how it impacts Somali culture.
